4 week Art course: Petals and Paint

Event Location:

Katie Brent Studio, Woodbine Cottage, Perry Street, Chard, Somerset, TA20 4QH

Event Description

Discover the joy of painting flowers in this inspiring 4-week course designed to spark your creativity and expand your skills. Each three-hour session explores a different approach to floral painting, introducing new materials and techniques to help you create lively, expressive compositions.

Working with acrylics, inks, wax resist, and masking fluid on paper, you’ll experiment with colour, texture, and layering to capture the beauty and movement of flowers in your own distinctive style. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist looking to try something new, this course offers a supportive space to develop confidence and creative freedom while exploring the versatility of mixed media painting.

Sometimes working directly from life, and also using photographs to develop ideas, understand proportion, and composition. The workshops will take place in my lovely studio. All materials will be provided. Four spaces available. Over 16’s only. Parking on site for four cars. Bring an apron and wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on (just in case!)
