Have you ever wanted to paint but just don’t know where to begin? This is a four week course aimed at beginners using acrylic paints to create contemporary botanical landscapes. Learn how to colour mix, how to use the colour wheel, use brush marks to describe different textures, layer paint and create interesting compositions. We will explore the work of the impressionist painter Monet; how he layered paint, working quickly to capture light and colour. Each step of the way you will be guided and lead with demonstrations and tips to create your own wonderful art!
All materials will be provided.
There will be four spaces available. Parking on site. Bring an apron and wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on. (just in case!)

Yes there is a toilet in the studio premises.
The workshops are 2 hours long, it's a good idea to arrive 5 minutes early to get set up.

Unfortunately the premises are not suitable for wheelchair users.
Yes, all of the work you produce will be for you to take away and keep, or will make lovely presents!
